Some of the most important temples located in and near Joshimath are a temple dedicated to Lord Narsima (incarnation of Lord Vishnu), Hanuman, Garuishankar, Ganesha and Nandevi & Surya. Not only temples, Joshimath is also base for trekking for the famous “Valley of Flowers”. Those interested in adventure sports should visit Auli, located 16kms from Joshimath, popular for its skinning.
