Maharajas of Kota, often went hunting in this park until recently, when in 2004, this was declared as a national park. Located in Rajasthan, India the Darrah National Park is a combination of two more sanctuaries namely, Chambal and Jaswant Sagar.
Resident species of this place include, leopards, cheetahs, nilgais, chinkaras, wild boars etc. While undertaking the mountain trail, a keen eye can also spot many medicinal herbs. Deep forest jungle safari will let you observe animals in their natural habitat.
After you are done exploring the wildlife, you can visit the nearby places in and around Kota. There are many old temples and fort which the history-lovers will surely find stunning.
The park is easily accessible by rail, road or air and can be best visited from October to March.
