Dear Traveler, we have been to the city, to the village. City life is like a mechanized roller of sequences. Sequences which, we the denizens of the city, experience. We experience a constant repetition of the same events every day. Are we becoming too civilized to break our daily routine once in a blue moon? Let’s get a bit less civilized for a couple of days. Let’s go out and play in the shadows and lights of the wild. Let’s give our headphones a bit of siesta as we listen to the whisper of the trees, the birds and the wild, wild Bethuadahari.
A lesser known sanctuary nearby Krishnanagar, Nadia, is a home to around 300 Spotted Deer, the main tourist attraction here. Bethuadahari , also takes pride in being the home of Gharials(Smaill Crocodile),
Bengal Fox, Porcupine, Common Langur and many other species. According to a 1995 Cencus , it has around 50 wildlife species. The Hasadanga Beel can be a potential safe haven to Migratory Birds. The forest remains open for visitors all around the year.
Beautiful and nearby, Bethuadahari can be your next weekend escapade. Just give in yourself to the clutches of Mother Nature. Feel rejuvenated after your tryst with the wild.
Don’t wait, board a Lalgola – Sealdah Passenger or the Bhagirothi Express and get down at Bethuadahari. Shutterbugs, don’t forget your cameras!
The West Bengal Tourist Lodge will provide you accommodation.
The call of the wild awaits!
