Earlier in 2015 Micromax the home brewed company launched a phone focused specially for selfie lovers and selfie enthusiasts which featured a 13 MP front as well as rear camera, now Micromax has again launched its new product targeting the same audience.
As the word lens in the name itself may suggest, the phone comes with a clip-on wide angle lens. The 0.4X wide angle lens can be attached to either the front or the rear camera to shoot wide angle photograph or videos.
As of the specifications go, The canvas selfie lens sports a 5 inch HD (1080 x 720) IPS Display panel with corning’s gorilla glass 3 protection, under the hood there is a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor chipset backed by 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 32 GB with the help of a Micro SD card.
Coming to the cameras the USP of the device the rear sports an 8 MP rear shooter with Sony’s sensor, Largan lens and LED flash. To go along with it there is a 5 MP front shooter with Largan lens and OV sensor. There are software enhancements too to the phone such as skin smoothening, eye enlargement and sharpening. Also there are options to remove eye bags, blemishes and much more.
The phone is powered by a 2,800 mAh battery which is decent enough considering the hardware. Connectivity options remain as usual such as dual-sim car slots, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth etc. As of the software is concerned the phone runs on Android lollipop 5.0.
The device is available in White and Champagne, and Moondust Gray color options, and is priced at Rs 8,299. As an introductory offer the company is also offering Vodafone customers 500 MB of 3G data for a period of 2 months.
