BlackBerry and Foxconn collaboration’s first smartphone BlackBerry Z3 indeed a surprise for many critics. The Z3 ‘Jakarta Edition’ is a unique device built especially keeping in mind of the Indonesian users. The back of the phone commemorates the launch of the first BlackBerry for the Indonesian market.
With 540 x 960 qHD resolution Z3 comes with a clear glass screen which is vibrant and colorful. And after seeing the screen I don’t think users will mind some extra-bucks to pay for it. Z3 is not a “plastic” or cheaply made device — it’s a solid phone which will last for many years.
This entry-level handset runs on BlackBerry 10 OS and is powered by dual core 1.2GHz Qualcomm processor. The 8GB internal memory with card-slot up to 32GB, the Z3 has only 1.5GB RAM which raises some skepticism. Generally a standard 8. It clubs with 2GB RAM, but here users may find some lag after using it constantly.
The one of the impressive part of BlackBerry Z3 is its battery – a big 2500mAh battery which supports almost 16-hours talk-time. No doubt, Blackberry Z3 will serve its main purpose – communicate constantly. If your are regular talker, then you may not need to charge it for multiple days.
The all black BlackBerry Z3 comes with a 5MP rear primary camera with auto-focus which is quite good for BB10 devices. It allows users to take bright pictures. It also has 1.1MP front facing camera.
BlackBerry Z3 speaker is not good compare to Z30, although Z3 speakers provide loud and clear sound, but my problem with it is its placement. It is placed on bottom of left side of the device which is why sometime it delivers cloudy sound. It could have been avoided easily.
The new BlackBerry device provides a new Z3 forum where users can share experiences, tips, help and much more. Z3 also comes with new useful feature called BlackBerry Priority Hub to get notifications from your email, text messages, phone calls, social notifications, BBM chats and more. With Z3 BlackBerry launches he latest version of BBM to provide awesome communicating power to the users.
The BlackBerry Z3 is a good deal for a solid and durable design with good battery life at $189.99 price tag despite some memory space issue. I wish the company soon launch it for the rest of the world.
