Xiaomi recently launched a fitness tracker called the Mi band at the same event where Mi4i was introduced, the fitness tracker is priced at 999 Rs and has no competitor as all the other products in the similar category are priced way higher.
The fitness tracker tracks the number of steps you take in a day, how many hours of sleep you got, hours of REM, amount of calories burnt etc. the Mi band consists of 2 parts the silicon strap and the core, the silicon strap is made of high quality hypoallergenic silicon and the core is made up of aluminum alloy. the core of the device consists of military grade exercise sensor, Manufactured by US-based ADI group. DA14580 low-energy Bluetooth 4.0 chip manufactured by Dialog and Ultra-thin 8mm 41 mAh battery which Xiaomi claim lasts upto 30 days on a single charge. The core has a vibrator which vibrates to wake you up if an alarm is set, it also help locate the Mi band if it’s lost.
The band is IP67 certified water resistant and has a drop resistance of 1.2 meters. Can withstand temperatures upto 70 degrees and minus 20 degrees. The band is replaceable and can be purchased separately in various colors. If one has a Xiaomi phone it can be unlocked without the requirement of password when in range with the Mi band. There are 3 LEDs that blink once you’ve completed the set target for the day.
