After record breaking success of Redmi 1S, Xiaomi has launched much awaited Redmi 2 on Sunday. The new phone will be available in China from January 9 and is priced at CNY 699 (Approx Rs. 7,100). It is expected to hit the Indian market by last week of January.
The dual-SIM smartphone, Redmi 2 comes with a 4.7-inch IPS display with HD (720×1280 ppi) resolution and 312ppi. The dual-standby is run by MIUI 6 skin over Android 4.4 KitKat.
The Xiaomi Redmi 2 is powered 64-bit 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor (Cortex A53) coupled with 1GB of RAM and Adreno 306 GPU. It has 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. The phone sports 8-megapixel primary camera. It also has 2-megapxiel secondary front-facing camera.
Powered by a 2200mAh battery, the company claims that the handset has fast battery charging facility with 30% in 30 min. The Xiaomi Redmi 2 is available in five colour, Yellow, Pink, Green, White, and Black.
