Xiaomi launches 2 new power banks

Xiaomi has yet again launched 2 new power banks of 5,000 mAh and 16,000 mAh capacity respectively. Xiaomi already had a 10,400 and 5,200 mAh power banks in India.

Coming to the new lauches, the higher capacity 16,000 mAh power bank is priced at Rs. 1,399 and the lower 5,000 mAh one is priced at Rs. 699. Like the old power banks the new power banks too sport aluminum body casing.

As of the specifications the 16,00 mAh power bank has 2 USB ports to charge 2 devices at the same time, whereas the 5,00 mAh power bank has only one USB port. The 16,000 mAh power bank is made up of high quality Li-Ion battery packs where as the 5,000 mAh, one is made from a bit lower grade cells.

The 5,000 mAh power bank is quite slim at 9.9 mm which, Xiaomi claims, is the slimmest power bank made by them. The company also states that the powers banks are made for daily use and are rough and tough.

Xiaomi also hosted a poll where the consumers had to vote for the power bank they want to be available first and the 16,000 mAh one won with huge margins. The 16,000 mah will be available for purchase very soon and the 5,000 one will be made available shortly after.
