Pepsi launches the P1s

PepiCo inc. the soft drink giant has now diversified into the telecommunication domain with the launch of the new P1s which is made specifically for china.

The company has roped in Shenzhen Scooby Communication Equipment Co. Ltd to manufacture the smartphone with Pepsi’s brand on it. There are plans to unveil 2 different smartphone the P and the Ps where the major difference will be FDD-LTE 4G.

As of the specifications go, the P1s houses a 5.5 inch Full HD (1080p) 2.5D curved glass display which curved at the edges to give a better grip. A 1.7 GHz Octa-Core Mediatek processor chipset powers the phone along with 2 GB of RAM.

For the shutterbugs there is a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash along with a 5 MP front selfie shooter. There is 16 GB of internal memory which can be expanded by via help of a Micro SD card. There is a 3,000 mAh battery to power the device.

Among the USPs of the device is its finger print sensor located at the rear of the phone. Connectivity remains the usual with Dual-Sim 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS etc. on the software front the P1s runs Android 5.1 lollipop under Dido UI.

The phone as of now is exclusive to china but it could make its way to India soon. It’s currently priced at 699 Yuan which is about Rs. 7,200.
