So now – at last, at long last – send or receive a kiss over internet! *sigh* J
Thanks to a “Kissing Machine” from Japan!
No longer does one need those clumsy, ineffective, unsatisfying, unsatisfactory smilies of the 😡 kind or the *Kiss* kind! Get the real thing – or at least the next best thing.
A team of developers at the University of Electro-Communications, Japan, claim to have invented a “kiss simulator” (call it a “Kissing Machine?!) which will help users to experience a kiss across the digital skies – over the internet.
Researchers from Kajimoto Research Laboratory have been working onn developing a transmitter to simulate the feel of a kiss over the net. This project is described as ‘development of a kiss-like remote mouth communication device for close relationships,’ on the laboratory’s website.
One of the research associates, Mr. Nobuhiro Takahashi told DigInfo TV: “This device is for communications within the mouth. If you take one device in your mouth and turn it with your tongue, the other device turns in the same way. If you turn it back the other way, then your partner’s turns back the same way, so your partner’s device turns whichever way your own device turns” .
He adds, “It is achieved only by motor rotations, and you control the rotation positions via PC. It is called a bilateral control, and the turn angle information is sent reciprocally by both devices to maintain the same position. Right now the values are handled by one PC, but if a system is put together to handle the values over a network, then it would be easy for this operation to be conducted remotely.”
The Kiss Transmission Device is attached to a computer and looks like two straw-like rotating noduleson a computer. The device also can store and record the kiss information and it can be replayed.
The Kissing Machine will be in the Japanese market soon. We shall update you right in time to catch the fish … err … the kiss!
