Nokia has launched its first-ever smartphones based on Google’s Android operating system, runs on Nokia X software platform. The Nokia X, X+ and XL – budget smartphone – powered by Microsoft is actually based on Android Open Source Project to give users altogether a different experience.

The new Nokia X phone announced will have Microsoft services such as Bing search, Skype communications and OneDrive file storage. It will also have Google Apps along with Nokia apps. All these X-series phones support 3G network.

While the entry level Nokia X will be available at 89 euros or around Rs. 7500 in India, the Nokia X+ will be priced at 99 euros and the Nokia XL packs will come at 109 euro. All the phones will be available by Q2 of this year.

“The X family boasts Nokia’s exciting, high quality hardware design and a range of bright colours. The brand new, tile-based Home screen offers you a simple, elegant way to manage your apps and phone functions and also reintroduces a redesigned version of the enormously popular Fastlane notifications centre – a second Home screen if you like – from the latest Asha devices,” said Nokia.
