Motorola has recently launched the 3rd iteration of the much loved Moto G, the new Moto G is priced at Rs. 11,999 and 12,999 respectively for the 8 GB and 16 GB variant. It is exclusively available on Flipkart.
As of the specifications are concerned the new Moto G is launched in 2 different variants viz-a-viz 8 GB and 16 GB variants, the 8 GB variants comes coupled with 8 GB of internal memory as the name suggests and 1 GB of RAM while the 16 GB version houses 16 GB of internal storage along with 2 GB of RAM. The screen on both the variants remain the same being a 5 inch HD (1280 X 720 pixel) giving the pixel density of 294 ppi. Under the hood there is a quad-core snapdragon 410 running at 1.4 GHz along with Adreno 306 GPU.
For photography Motorola has provided the consumers with 13 MP rear camera which according to Motorola is on par with the Nexus 6’s camera. On the front side there is a 5 MP selfie camera.
The Moto G 3rd Gen features microSD card slot along with the option of 8 or 16 GB of internal storage and a 2,470mAh battery, which according to Motorola is good enough for up to 24 hours of mixed usage.
The phone supports 4 G LTE along with the usual WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS etc as connectivity options. The phone runs on android 5.1 lollipop out of the box and will be further updated to the latest versions of android.
The USP of the device is that the phone is IPx7 certified making it water resistant which means the phone will be able to survive a few spills and can getting mildly drenched in light rains.
