As the Internet Explorer, once the dominant browser in the web world, losing its grip in the desktop-laptop market as well as in the mobile market, Microsoft has been considering introducing a new web browser to tackle its competitors like Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome Apple Safari and also Google’s Android browser in the tech world.
In the past 90 percent people used to use IE on desktop and laptop machines, but new research reveals that only 58 percent use Internet explorer and in mobile the number is too pathetic. Only 2 percent users browse though Internet Explorer in their mobile.
According to the new reports, Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system will come up in the market next year under new web browser code-named Spartan.
ZDNet’s Mary Jo Foley has reported that the new browser would be a “lightweight” browser that would more like Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers. It will be accessible on phones and tablets as well as laptops and desktops. However, it is still unclear whether Spartan will run on Android, Apple’s iOS, and other operating systems which are competitors to Windows, but Foley indicated that there’s a chance of it.
