Yu an online only subsidiary brand of Micromax recently took off the wraps from their new product namely the Yu Yuphoria. The phone is Priced at Rs. 6,999/- and will be available on Amazon India from the 28th of May. The sale again will be in form of Traditional Flash sales which we all know are a lot of pain to deal with.
Coming to the Specifications of the phone, The Yuphoria Boasts of a stereo like sound quality and has a Full metal design which makes the phone look extremely premium. The Yuphoria boasts of a 5 inch TFT HD (720p) Display protected with gorilla glass 3 and is powered by the Snapdragon 410 Quad-core Processor paired with 2 GB of RAM. There is 16 GB of In-built storage which cannot be expanded.
Yu products run on Cyanogen OS 12 which is based on android Lollipop 5.0, Cyanogen OS essentially is an improvement over the stock android and offer various customization to the consumer which stock android doesn’t offer. There is a 2,230 mAh battery to keep the phone running and has quick charging technology embedded in it which claims to charge the Yuphoria up to 65% within 45 Minutes. For the Photography enthusiasts the Yuphoria offers a 8 MP rear camera with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture, on the front there is a 5 MP wide-angle Selfie camera for all the selfie lovers. The phone supports 4G LTE and has all the usual connectivity options like WiFi, Bluetooth etc. The phone supports Dual sim cards. The Yuphoria will be available in buffed steel and champagne gold variants.
At this price points the direct competition the Yuphoria has is from the Xiaomi Redmi 2.
