Micromax launches Windows smartphones Canvas Win W092 & W121

Popular Indian phone manufacturer Micromax has launched 2 new smartphones based on Windows OS. Micromax grabs the opportunity after Microsoft offers Windows OS free for devices which runs under 9 OS.

Micromax so far has been selling large number of devices on Android OS but this is first time when Micromax made smartphones run on Windows. The phones will be first available in India by July and later will be shipped to various countries including Russia.

Running on Windows Phone 8.1 Canvas Win duo comes at amazing price. While Micromax Canvas Win W092 will be available at a price of Rs 6500, the Canvas Win W121 is priced at Rs 9500. Probably Win W092 is the cheapest windows running smartphone in the country.

Both dual-SIM smartphones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 1.2 GHz quad-core and have 1 GB of RAM.

The Micromax Canvas Win W092 comes with 4-inch WVGA IPS display screen, 5MP rear cam, 8GB expandable storage. It runs on 1500mAh battery.

The Canvas Win W121 packs with 5-inch display. It has 8 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front camera. It comes with 8GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD card slot.
