Micromax Launches the Canvas Xpress 2

Last week Micromax tipped of the launch of a new Ultra-Affordable phone and accordingly they have launched the Canvas Xpress 2, a new phone priced at Rs. 5,999.

The Canvas Xpress 2 will go on sale exclusively on Flipkart on 4^th august 2015 at 2:00 PM and the registrations for the sale have started already.

As of the specifications go, the canvas xpress 2 runs on a 1.4 GHz octa-core MediaTek processor chipset supplemented with 1 GB of RAM. The phone supports a 5 inch HD (1280x 720 pixels) display protected with gorilla glass 3.

The phone houses 8 GB of internal memory which can be further expanded upto 32 GB with the help of a Micro SD card. The device is powered by a 2,500 mAh battery which is claimed to give talk time of 9.5 hours. Connectivity options remain as usual with dual sim support, WiFi, Bluetooth GPS etc.

On the photography front the phone flaunts a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP Selfie camera. On the software front the phone sports android 4.4.2 KitKat which can be further upgraded to android lollipop after it’s launched for the Xpress 2.
