Micromax has launched the canvas fire 3 which is now available on saholic, although no official announcement has been made about the launch the phone is available on saholic and is also listed on their official website.
As of the specifications go the phone houses a 4.5 inch qHD (540 X 960) display unit protected by corning’s gorilla glass 3. Under the hood it runs a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6582M) chipset coupled with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage which can be further expanded with the help of a Micro SD card up to 32 GB.
For the shutterbugs the phone has a mere 5 MP rear camera which is sure to disappoint, the front packs a 2 MP Selfie camera which again may disappoint. The phone runs android KitKat 4.4.4 out of the box and has a 1,850 mAh battery which Micromax claims can power the phone for up to 7 hours on a single charge although I personally doubt the claim.
The usual connectivity options are included such as 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, Dual Sim etc. The USP of the device is that there are dual front facing speakers on the handset which can amplify the sound of the music. The body also is supposedly made from Chic Metal as claimed by Micromax and I again doubt the claim.
The phone is priced at Rs. 6,499 and at this price point the Fire 3 faces some tough competition from the likes of the RedMi 2 and the Yu Yuphoria.
