BlackBerry Z3 is up for Pre-Order

The much awaited low cost BlackBerry Z3 is up for pre-order in Indonesia. The possible game changer for the struggling BlackBerry, the ‘Jakarta’ smartphone will roll into the market on May 13.

The BlackBerry Z3 will be available at IDR 2,199,000, which is around Rs. 11,500 in India.

The Blackberry Z3 is an affordable Dual-core smartphone, runs on latest BlackBerry 10 OS, made in association with Foxconn.

The phone comes with a 5-inche capacitive touchscreen with qHD resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. The screen of the device has multitouch function and will be available in Black colour only in its first phase.

The phone will be launched exclusively in the Indonesia market.

BlackBerry CEO John Chen said in a statement that Z3 was designed “with our Indonesian customers in mind, to keep them productive and connected with family, friends and co-workers while on the move.”

The BlackBerry Z3 is powered by dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (MSM8230) processor and has 8GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. It also has 1.5GB of RAM.

 The all new BlackBerry Z3 sports a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera and a 1.1-megapixel front shooter. It is powered by Standard Li-ion 2650 mAh battery which can offer up to 15.5 hours talk time and up to 384 hours of standby time.
