Apple launches iPad Air

Apple inc. has unveiled the latest and thinner version of its flagship iPad tablet – ipad Air. The all new iPad Air is only 7.5 millimeters thin and one pound weighs and it comes with 9.7-inch Retina display inside smaller bezels. Many features of ipad Air resembles to that of ipad mini. The iPad Air will be available in silver-white and space grey-black color combinations.

The Apple iPad Air comes with 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution screen. It has 64-bit A7 processor and M7 motion coprocessor which Apple claims to provide 8 times faster and has 72 times better graphics in the phone. Running on with iOS 7, the ipad Air features 5-megapixel iSight camera and FaceTime HD front-facing camera. Apple said ipad is twice faster that than regular tabs courtesy new MIMO 802.11n features. It provides 10 hour battery life.

Apple will start shipping ipad Air from November 1^st at a base price of $499. An LTE version for ipad Air will cost around $629.

“We are turning the industry on its ear, but this is not why we’re doing it,” Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook said, adding “We want our customers to have our latest software,”

Apple also launched upgraded faster Mac computers and offered free upgrades for life on its operating system and iWork software for MacBooks and Mac computers.
