According to New York Times, world’s largest online retailer Amazon is set to launch a music streaming service under Amazon Prime this week.
Quoting an unnamed source, the report claimed that the music streaming service would offer free service as well as subscription service which include free delivery, access to online movies and books and other benefits. Customers of Amazon Prime, who pay annual fee of $79, will have to pay $99 from now to avail the music facility.
The reports also claimed that so far Amazon has signed a deal with Sony and Warner Music.
Amazon’s a music streaming service will also give Apple a tough fight along with Spotify and Pandora. Recently Apple announced to pay $3 billion for Beats Music to enhance its streaming service.
