IMT Ghaziabad wins SABMiller India’s ‘Brew-a-Career’ National Case Study Competition. Awarded with a pre placement internship offer and prize money worth Rupees One Lakh.
Bangalore, 05th September, 2014: After an intense and competitive grand finale’ of ‘Brew-a-Career’ national case study competition organized by SABMiller India, the Indian arm of the world’s second largest brewer SABMiller plc, team Millennials from IMT (Indian Management Institute) Ghaziabad emerged as winners. The winning team was awarded with a two months pre placement internship offer at SABMiller Indiaalong withprize money worth Rs.1, 00, 000.
The top 10 best teams from the 396 participating teams across 14 campuses, presented their case studysolutions to the esteemed judging panel comprising of the Executive Committee of SABMiller India at Bangalore. Teams from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore, Symbiosis Institute of Business Management(SIBM) Pune, Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) Delhi, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) Delhi, Xavier School of Management (XLRI) Jamshedpur and othersparticipated in the competition. Team from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta were declared runners up and won prize money of Rs. 25,000.
The judging panel comprised of the Executive Committee of SABMiller India- Mr. Grant Liversage- Managing Director;Mr. Shalabh Seth – Sales Director; Mr. Darioush Afzali- Marketing Director;Mr. KS Pande – Supply Chain Director,Mr. Alok Ranjan – Human ResourcesDirector; Mr.Creso H P de Macedo –Technical Director and Mr. Tejvir Singh – Finance Director. The business case studies were based on some actual challenges that the businesses face in today’s environment and evaluated students for their analytical abilities, problem solving skills and the ability to function in a highly regulated environment.
At the award ceremony, Mr. Grant Liversage, Managing Director, SABMiller India, said“The caliber of commitment and detailed analysis by the teams were very remarkable. The research conducted and recommendations proposed merit a special mention, they were well thought through.
