Rejecting Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Kasab’s plea, the apex court today upholds his death sentence in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks case. Kasav was awarded with death penalty by the Bombay High Court.
A two-judge bench of Supreme Court said that Kasab involved himself in a conspiracy to wage war against India. He was convicted under Indian Penal Code Section 302 (murder) and Provisions of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
Against Bombay High court’s ruling, Kasab’s plead to Supreme Court citing that he did not get a fair trial.
On November 26, 2008, Ajmal Kasab along with 9 Pakistani terrorists (jihadis) had attacked CST railway station, Cama Hospital, Vinoli Chaupati junction, Oberoi Hotel, Taj Hotel, Nariman House and Leopold cafe in Mumbai. 166 people died and 238 people were injured.
It is indeed an irony that India is spending hundreds of crores on notorious criminal like Kasab and his security, while innocent man, women and child across India are starving and facing insecurity! Ajaab Desh ki Gajaab Kahaani!
