Bangladesh Cricket Board has banned former international player Shariful Haque on Tuesday for life time after finding him guilty of spot-fixing. Eventually Haque is the first Bangladeshi cricketer to be punished for match-fixing.
In a news conference, the President of BCB, Mustafa Kamal said, “The allegation made against the player has been substantiated. We have decided to ban him from all cricketing activities until further notice. We will keep watching him and only if we are satisfied will his ban be lifted.”
Earlier, former test captain Mashrafe Mortaza alleged that he was approached by the off-spinner Shariful Haque for spot-fixing at the BPL Twenty20 match in February.
