Mumbai police is expected to quiz BCCI president and Chennai Super Kings owner N Srinivasan’s son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan for his connection with IPL spot-fixing case. Meiyappan is also the CEO of Chennai Super Kings.
Actor Vindoo Dara Singh who was arrested yesterday for his alleged role in IPL betting case, has reportedly named Meiyappan as the man who was behind this betting.
Vindoo’s phone call list showed that he made several phone calls to Guru and has an easy access to the CSK team.
Police is now examining the Chennai connection in the IPL spot-fixing scam. Till today total of eighteen people have been arrested including cricketers, bookies and Bollywood actor.
However, the most shocking revelation since its expose happens to come today when police revealed that Vindoo Dara Singh named someone who lives with the BCCI chief itself. What an irony!
Meanwhile Lalit Modi, the former IPL commissioner demanded Srinivasan’s resignation.
“This spot fixing mess – is getting even worse. Srinivasan and family should immediately resign. They should be banned with immediate effect,” he tweeted.
“If Guru is involved then Srini is indeed doing this for vested interest & his rubber stamps @ShuklaRajiv & Arun Jaitley should not be spared,” Modi wrote.
