Manchester United got back to winning ways in the Premier League after their defeat in the European tournament against the Greek side Olympiakos. The defending champions won their away match against west Bromwich Albion 3-0 to give them a lesson after the lowly side had beat them earlier in the season.
Phil Jones opened the scoring for the visitors in the 34th minute of the match heading in an inviting free-kick from Robin Van Persie. In the second half United’s highest paid player Wayne Rooney scored the second goal of the day from Rafael’s cross in the 65th minute of the match. Danny Welbeck completed the comfortable victory for the Red Devils when scored after a nice build-up through short passes involving Rooney.
With this win Manchester United move up to the 6th spot in the table with 48 points, same as that of Everton. But a better Goal difference keeps the 20-time Champions ahead of Everton, though they have played one more match. Also this victory will provide the United side much needed confidence before the upcoming couple of tough matches, first against Liverpool on 16th March and then the return leg in the Champions League three days later.
