India have won the 4th one-day international match against West Indies at Holkar Stadium, Indore, and have won the series also in the process.
India scored 418 for 5 wickets while West Indies, chasing the mammoth total, were all out for 265 with four balls to go.
Virendra Sehwag scored 219 runs off 149 balls – becoming the second batsman to score a double century in ODI’s. Sachin Tendulkar is the other – having scored 200 not out against South Africa in 2010.
Denesh Ramdin with his spirited 96 was the highest scoring batsman for West Indies. While Kieran Powell was run out, Ravindra Jadeja (3 for 34), Rahul Sharma (3 for 43), Suresh Raina (2 for 17) and Ravichandra Ashwin (1 for 59) accounted for the other 9 West Indian wickets.
Virendra Sehwag was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
