India came back strongly in the second ODI against England to level the series 1-1 at Kochi on Tuesday. India thrashed the visitor by 127 run win and gain the massive confidence which they desperately seeking.
The bowlers led the charge as England crumbled at 158 in just 36 overs chasing the target of 286.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar who emerged as the best Indian bowler of the day took three crucial wickets in the beginning to put England in struggle. Ashwin took three wickets and Ravindra Jadeja claimed two.
India won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 285 for loss of 6 wickets in their stipulated 50 overs. Dhoni scored 72 off 66 balls while Jadeja scored unbeaten 61. Suresh Raina made 55.
The third One Day International will be played on Saturday 19th January at Ranchi.
