India thrashed host Zimbabwe by nine wickets in the fourth one-day international at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on Thursday and take 4-0 lead in their five-match One-Day series.
Indian captain Virat Kohli won the toss and asked Zimbabwe to bat first. Indian bowlers bowled beautifully and forced Zimbabwe to score lowest total of the tournament. Zimbabwe lost their first five wickets just for 47 in 16 overs. Later Elton Chigumbura (50*) and Malcolm Waller (35) tried to consolidate their innings. But Amit Mishra (2/25), debutant Mohit Sharma (2/26) and Ravindra Jadeja (2/28) did not take much time before wrapping the Zimbabwe tail Enders. They were all out at 144 in 42.4 overs.
Cheteshwar Pujara who made his one-day debut as opener in place of regular Shikhar Dhawan, did not capitalized this opportunity. He made 13. After that Opener Rohit Sharma (64*) and Suresh Raina (66*) gave no chance to Zimbabwe bowlers and finished the match in 30.5 overs.
Scores:
Zimbabwe: 144/10 in 42.4 overs (Elton Chigumbura 50*, Malcolm Waller 35; Amit Mishra 3/25, Mohit Sharma 2/26).
