The Australian team arrived in India on Sunday to play bilateral series of 7 one-day internationals and only 1 T-20 match. The Australian team will be missing their captain Michael Clarke who has been ruled out due to back injury. Instead they will be led by George Bailey in the one-dayers. The series will begin tomorrow with the lone T-20 match of the series. Adam Voges will be captaining the side at Rajkot in the 20-over game.
On the other hand, India led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni will look forward to the series so that they can stamp their authority against the former world champions. Indian one-day side has got a real boost in the form of Yuvraj Singh who will be making a come back to national team after a gap of 8 long months.
It will be tough task ahead for the young Aussie side that has got very little experience of playing in the dry and dusty sub-continental pitches, although the Australian team management is confident of putting up a good performance here. The Australian team will get an opportunity to replace India at the apex of the ICC ODI rankings if they are capable to force a series-winning performance in the 7 one-dayers, which will be preceded by the one-off 20-20 match at Rajkot. It will be a great incentive for this young Australian side which is going through a build-up process.
