Samsung has launched the J3 (2016) in the Indian markets and is available exclusively on Snapdeal. The newly launched phone is priced at Rs. 8,990.

Display
The phone sports a 5 inch (720p) HD Super AMOLED display with a minor scratch protection.
Hardware
The phone houses a 1.5 GHz quad core processor chipset along with 1.5 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded via the help of a micro SD card.
Camera
For the shutterbugs there is a 8 MP rear camera module with f/2.2 aperture and a 5 MP selfie camera upfront.
Software
The phone runs on Android 5.1 lollipop wrapped under Samsung’s own Touchwiz UI. The phone boasts of a new feature developed by Samsung called the S-Bike mode. The buyers get an NFC, that is when they place it on their bikes and tap, phone activates the bike mode on the device.
Once activated whenever someone calls the caller will hear a pre-recorded message saying that the person is currently riding a bike. Only if the caller presses 1, will the call actually go through to the rider. The phone also supports gestures which the rider can use to cut the call. The mode also includes a motion lock which stops the rider from answering the call when the bike is moving. It also monitors the bike ride and can share statistics with the rider.
Misc.
The phone derives its power from a 2,600 mAh battery. Connectivity options include the likes of dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC. It only has a proximity and accelerometer. An ambient light sensor is missing from the phone along with LED notification.
Samsung is offering the buyers a chance to earn up to Rs 1,500 worth of FreeCharge credits along with Vodafone’s double data offer.
