Two deadly bomb explosions killed at least 12 people and injured more than 75 in Hyderabad on Thursday evening. The incident took place in Dilsukh Nagar bus stand area around 7. Death toll may rise as the rescue operation is going on.
Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde addressed the media in New Delhi and said that the government had information that there would be blasts, but the data was not specific.
A team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) rushed to the spot.
According to the Home Ministry Dilsukhngar blust were a terror attack by “a well-trained” group.
The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh Strongly condemn the Hyderabad blasts and said, “the guilty will not go unpunished.” Singh announced Rs 2 lakh compensation to family of deceased and Rs 50,000 each to those who are seriously injured.
All major cities across India are now on high alert.
