Home minister Sushil kumar Shinde came under fire from both opposition parties and UPA allies in the parliament on Friday for his inaction on Thursday’s Hyderabad bomb blast.
Shinde made a statement in the parliament earlier which was severely criticised by BJP, SP and DMK, terming his statement “totally disappointing” and “devoid of any concrete and meaningful plan of action”.
Shinde assured that house that government will make all possible efforts to arrest the culprits.
BJP accused government of treating the terror “very casually”.
BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu said, “Government’s policy seems to be condolence for the dead and compensation for those who survived.”
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was not present in the parliament during the debate in Rajya Sabha.
Sushil kumar Shinde visited the spot today early morning and received harsh criticism from BJP.
“You have not done any favour to us. You have done your duty. The incident had happened at 7pm on Thursday. You should have gone there at 8pm and come back by the morning. That shows your seriousness,” Naidu said.
