Congress spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Renuka Chowdhury was shown door from a party meeting on Sunday by angry Telengana Congress leaders for her ‘anti-Telangana’ stand.
Former Union minister left the meeting after facing humiliation and embarrassment in presence of several senior party members including K Jana Reddy and D Srinivas.
The Telegana leaders demanded an apology from Renuka Chowdhury for her stand.
“Renuka Chowdhury’s anti-Telangana stand is well-known. I don’t know why she came for the meeting when no one invited her. When thousands had committed suicide for the cause of Telangana, she had said the deaths were due to cancer,” said Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar.

“While no one wanted her presence, we demanded an apology from her before attending the meeting. She neither apologized nor left although we asked her to leave. It was a shameless act, and we ignored her,” he added.
After the meeting Congress leaders in Telangana decided that they will request centre to expedite the bifurcation and will organize rallies across Telangana in coming weeks.
