Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi said he does not agree with the Maharashtra cabinet decision of rejecting Adarsh report and said there is no question of protecting anyone who was involved in Adarsh housing scam.
Rahul said Congress is serious about fighting corruption.
“If you want to fight corruption, create a mechanism. There are bills pending in Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha let us get together and pass those bills,” Rahul said.
“We brought the RTI, we brought in the Lokpal. It is fashionable to talk but if you want change, enact the laws,” he added.
Rahul addressed media after meeting all Congress rule Chief Ministers in New Delhi today. The meeting was focused on corruption and Lokpal, and price-rise.
Speaking to reporters Congress General Secretary Ajay Maken said that all Congress rule states will create Lokayuktas by 28th February. Also the party decided that by Jan 15, the Congress rule states will delist fruits and vegetables from APMC acts so that farmers have a choice and consumers have benefit of lower prices.
