PM cancels Delhi rally, BJP mocks

In a strange move Congress has decided to cancel Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s 3 election rallies in the capital on Saturday, offering a new tool to BJP. Incidentally BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is holding three rallies today in Delhi.

BJP mocks Congress’s decision to cancel the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s rally in Delhi on Saturday and said it is clear that Congress is shy away from comparisons between the rally of PM and Modi.

“Even if the Prime Minister had come, he would have read from a written statement – as is the case with most senior Congress leaders. How can we forget S M Krishna, former external affairs minister who inadvertently read out the speech of his Portuguese counterpart while addressing a UN meeting in 2011,” BJP leader Arun Jaitley said.
