PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti arrested in Pulwama

Former Chief Minister and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti was arrested on Wednesday in Pulwama while she was going to curfew imposed Shopian to visit the family of the civilians who were killed by the CRPF.

A preliminary police report suggested that three out of the four people who were died in a firing were local residents and there is no record of terrorism against them. Only one mysterious person could be the Lashkar terrorist Abdullah Haroon. However local people claim that all four were murdered by CRPF.

The CRPF however said that six men had tried to attack their camp and in defence they had to fire. Four were dead and one injured in the cross-firing.

Opposition targets Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and local civilians are not buying this story. PDP and the residents are now demanding judicial probe.
