A Manipuri call centre executive was found dead at her Delhi residence. Her body has stab marks and was discovered by her boyfriend and Landlord on Thursday. She was taken to the Safdargunj Hospital but was declared dead on arrival. The police have registered a case of murder and the deceased has been identified as Juliet Zonunmawi.
On Wednesday, Two Nagaland boys were brutalized by a group of men in Sikanderpur, Gurgaon, in a fresh attack on the residents of North East. Awang (22) and Alato (25) work at a BPO in Gurgaon’s Cyber City. This attack took place on Wednesday evening when the group of men roughed the two with bats and sticks, causing several wounds and injuries.
They then went ahead to the extent of trimming Awang’s hair and leaving them with a warning. According to the victims, the group of men told them from staying in Sikanderpur.
Both the boys were referred to Safdargunj hospital in New Delhi and police got into action as soon as the issue came in limelight. The police also assert’s to have arrested four men in this case.
Prior to this incident, another Manipuri youth was assaulted by some men in Banglore. 26-year-old T Michael Lamjathang Haokip and two of his friends were assaulted while they had been on a dinner. According to what Banglore Mirror has reported, there were three drunken youth sitting on the table right next to Haokip’s and had objection of the trip speaking in English.
Michael told Banglore Mirror: “Initially, they began telling us something in Kannada, but we couldn’t understand much other than that they wanted us to move. They got aggressive and began asking why we couldn’t speak in Kannada, though we were living and eating in Karnataka. They were adamant and refused to listen to anything we had to say. And when I tried to reason with them, they attacked me.”
A case has been registered with the Banglore police regarding this.
