Delhi heading for fresh polls as BJP not to form govt

Delhi is likely heading towards fresh polls after the reports are coming that senior BJP leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah are not keen to form the minority government in Delhi.

BJP leaders are supposed to convey their party’s position to Lt Governor Najeeb Jung on Monday in all party meet where the discussion over Delhi government formation would take place.

Earlier the Supreme Court has slammed the union government for not making any efforts to resolve Delhi deadlock over government formation. The state has been under President’s Rule since February 17 after AAP leader and former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal resigned over JanLokPal Bill

Although at first BJP state leaders were considering forming the government if the Lt Governor invited them, but now after the central leadership rejected the idea, BJP leader Jagdish Mukhi will convey his party’s view today.
