BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj has passed yet another comment on Congress’ Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Kedarnath. He said that Rahul was ‘impure’ and that his visit to Kedarnath had caused the eathquake in Nepal. “Rahul Gandhi eats beef, and goes to the holy shrine (Kedarnath) without purifying himself. The earthquake was bound to happen,” he said.
The Congress party on Monday slammed Maharaj for passing such an atrocious comment. The party questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP Chief Amit Shah if they were in behind such offensive comments.
“If media reports are to be believed, BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj now famous for asking women to produce 10 babies, eulogising the killers of Mahatma Gandhi and comparing humans with dogs for sterilization, are now ascribing the earthquake in Nepal to Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Bhagwan Kedarnath,” said Congress spokesperson Sushmita Dev.
“In a most unfortunate and petty manner, certain habitual motor mouth offenders of the BJP cohorts of the PM and BJP chief are trying to communalize and politicize a grave human tragedy,” she added.
She said that by saying passing pathetic statements, Maharaj has not only ‘denigrated’ all those who have utter faith in Bhagwan Kedarnath but also the victims of the Nepal Earthquake. The party demands that Narendra Modi and Amit Shah take immediate action against Sakshi Maharaj.
“It will be better if the PM and Amit Shah stop perpetuating rabid politics that has now reached the stage of denigrating even Bhagwan Kedarnath through his chosen cohorts. We demand that the PM and Amit Shah take immediate action against Sakshi Maharaj,” she said.
