According to some TV channels current Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma is likely to replace SM Krishna as the External Affairs Minister of India. SM Krishna had resigned on Friday ahead of the Sunday’s much-awaited Cabinet reshuffle. Daggubati Purandeswari is likely to get the Commerce Ministry.
Five ministers including Ambika Soni, Subodh Kant Sahai and Mukul Wasnik have met Manmohan Singh on Saturday morning and submit their resignation. Minister of state for social justice and empowerment, Mahadev Khandela also stepped down on Saturday.
It has helped both Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to bring newer and younger faces at the Sunday’s cabinet reshuffle.
The swearing in ceremony of the new ministers will take place at.30 am on Monday 11 at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
It is highly anticipated that after the cabinet reshuffle Rahul Gandhi likely to be made Congress working president and he will lead the Congress in the next Lok Sabha polls in 2014.
