The Siddaramaiah government has transferred Bangalore police chief Raghavendra Auradkar following the uproar over the rape of a 6-year-old girl in a private school in the city.
The government has also transferred Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Kamal Pant. While Pant is being sent to Human Rights, Auradkar has been transferred to Karnataka State Reserve Police as an Additional Director General of Police.
Earlier on Monday, police has lathicharged ABVP protesters who were protesting outside the school which has been targeted for allegedly hushing up the rape of a 6-year-old girl by 2 staff members.
Police have so far arrested one skating instructor in the case 2-week after the incident. Angry parents seek justice and demand action against the school management.
