In a massive re-shuffle of the Union Cabinet, 22 new ministers – seven of the Cabinet rank and 15 Ministers of State – have been inducted into the Cabinet.
Out of the seven cabinet ministers, two are new faces.
The two are K.Rahman Khan (former Chairman of Rajyasabha) and Smt.Chandresh Kumari Kotch (Member of Lok Sabha).
The other five are Ajay Maken, Ashwani Kumar, Dinsha Patel, Harish Rawat, and M.M.Pallam Raju who have been promoted to cabinet rank.
K. Jaya Suyra Prakash Reddy, Killi Kriparani, P. Balram Naik, and Sarve Satyanarayana, K.Chiranjeevi (all from Andhra Pradesh), Ninong Ering (Arunachal Pradesh), Ranee Narah (Assam), Tariq Anwar (Maharashtra), Kodikkunnil Suresh (Kerala), Lalchand Kataria (Rajasthan), Adhir Ranjan Chowdhry, Abu Hasem Khan Chowdhry, and Deepa Dasmunshi (all from West Bengal) are the new faces among Ministers of State.
Shashi Tharoor has returned to the cabinet after two years.
Out of the 15 Ministers of State, two have been given independent charge. The two are K.Chiranjeevi and Manish Tiwari.
