Smriti Irani sends legal notice to Sanjay Nirupam

Popular TV actress turn politician Smriti Irani sends legal notice to Congress MP Sanjay Nirupam for his “indecent and derogatory” comment.

Sanjay Nirupam had reportedly called BJP MP Smriti Irani ‘a thumkewali’ and he wondered ‘what Irani is doing in Politics’, during a Television debate.

BJP MP Smriti Irani was shocked and angry by Nirupam’s abusive and derogatory remarks. BJP also decided to boycott him everywhere including in the in parliament and asked for an apology from Congress party.

In an interview with Times of India, BJP chief spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said, “The kind of language and choice of words by Nirupam in a news channel debate against Smriti Irani, who is our Mahila Morcha chief and MP as well as an established TV actor, is most unfortunate and painful. He crossed all limits of decency and decorum,”

Congress spokesperson Renuka Chaudhary also strongly criticize Nirupam’s remark.
