The 15-year-old Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani brave-heart who defied Talibans and was being shot in the head by Talibans on last October for promoting girls’ education in the region, is returned to school. But this time not in Pakistan but in Britain where she has been living with her family since the treatment.
“I am excited that today I have achieved my dream of going back to school. I want all girls in the world to have this basic opportunity,” Malala said in a statement.
She has joined Edgbaston High School for Girls in Birmingham.
Malala Yousuf is also a nominee for this year’s Nobel Peace Prize.
“I miss my classmates from Pakistan very much but I am looking forward to meeting my teachers and making new friends here in Birmingham,” Malala said.
