Bidhan Barua Got Permission From High Court For Sex Reassignment Surgery

Controversial Assamese boy Bidhan Barua finally got permission from the Bombay High Court to undergo a sex reassignment surgery.

Guwahati boy Bidhan Barua who likes to call himself Swati had requested in his petition in the court to grant him permission to undergo the sex change operation. Also in the petition he urged court to control his parents from prohibiting him from this operation. He also alleged that his parents have blocked his bank account.

Bhidan had earlier wrote letters to the Chief Justice of India, Chief Justice of Bombay High Court and National Human Rights Commission for their intervene and ask them to grant him permission or else he will commit suicide.
