Nicolas Maduro sworn-in as Venezuelan president

Vice president Nicolas Maduro sworn in as Venezuela’s acting president on Friday.

“I swear by the most absolute loyalty to comrade Hugo Chavez that we will fulfil and see that it’s fulfilled the constitution … with the iron fist of a people ready to be free,” Maduro said.
After the sworn-in, he lashed out at USA.

“We tell them- Sooner than later, the imperialist elites who govern the United States will have to learn to live with absolute respect with the insurrectional people of the … Latin and Caribbean America,” Maduro said.

Before his demise President Hugo Chavez designated Maduro as his successor. Chavez died on Tuesday after 2-year’s battle with cancer.

A former bus driver and union leader Nicolas Maduro became Chavez’s right hand and often seen accompanied him.
