After reports of murder that shook Pakistan and eventually the entire world of a brother killing his sister, Pakistani social media star Qandeel Baloch’s father stated that his younger son Waseem, who killed the upcoming sensational model for ‘honour and pride’, should be “shot on sight”.
“I say he should be shot on sight. He suffocated my little one,” Baloch’s father Anwar Azeem remarked in his statement to the media.
If sources are to be believed, Baloch’s parents were astonished at the unfortunate happening and strongly voiced their opinions and distress at the murder, who was killed for sharing bold and intense posts and pictures on social networks like Facebook,Twitter,etc.
On enquiring as to why her parents did not respond at the time of the gruesome killing, her father maintained a stance that they had been apparently ‘drugged’, and hence were asleep upstairs. ‘Quandeel was my best friend’ maintains Mr Azeem, as he still remains in a state of paranoia. Baloch’s mother stated that they shared an excellent rapport and that Quandeel used to confide in her. She stated her daughter to be hardworking and dedicated. “Her whole face was covered in bruises, her tongue was black, her lips were black”, expressed her mother, amidst deep confusion and grief.
Quandeel Baloch was killed on the night of July 14 by brother Waseem. He later confessed to his crimes that included drugging her and then forcibly strangling and choking her to death, the reason being his family’s honour and reputation. This incident unfolded as one of the most shocking deaths in the history of glamour industry. Waseem is to be tried for his deeds.
