Pakistan temporarily blocked mobile phone services in some part of the country to prevent possible terror attacks on Thursday. More than 50 towns and cities, including capital Islamabad are completely out of cellular phone services from 8 am to 11 pm.
The decision angered mobile phone users who are facing huge inconvenience. Human right groups are also raising voices against this decision and urging government to find some other useful way to tackle terrorist attacks.
According to officials, the mobile phone services will be shut down as part of the security plan for the ‘Chehlum’ of Imam Hussain.
