After Japan and South Korea send their surveillance aircrafts through China’s newly claimed air defense identification zone, China said had sent their warplanes to check the area in the East China Sea.
China unilaterally raised unnecessary tension in the region by announcing air defense identification zone. It not only irked Japan or South Korea, even US has joined in condemning Beijing’s move. The tension over the territory control increased as China’s claimed zone overlapping a similar zones operated by Japan and South Korea.
Last Saturday China announced that any noncommercial aircraft flying through the East China Sea must inform flight plans to Beijing to avoid “defensive emergency measures.”
The United States dared Beijing by flying two B-52 bombers through the area Tuesday.
“There is an emerging pattern of behavior by China that is unsettling to China’s own neighbors,” one U.S. officials said.
