Ahead of the much awaited international Yoga Day, many companies have opened their doors publicly for practising this ancient ritual.
Some of the companies have even decided to give their employees a first hand experience from expert yoga teachers.
Several CEOs, employees and their family members are eagerly ready to roll out their Yoga mats for the big day in Sunday.
The country’s largest bank, State Bank of India (SBI) has decided to carry out a half hour yoga session including the Chairman, Arundhati Bhattacharya and other important board members.
The program will have to abide by the asanas, suggested by Ayush. However, SBI has gone a step ahead by hiring Yoga Instructors.
ICICI Lombard Health insurance have left no dearth in contributing meaningfully in the wellness of the customers, where they have decided to hold regular yoga sessions for the employees and the private clients.
SnapDeal has been quite successful in a launching a dedicated Yoga store selling e-guides for learning Yoga, yoga wear, mats, modern equipment and much more. Saurabh Nigam, VP-HR, Snapdeal, said: “We are encouraging our customers and internal stakeholders in recognizing the transformational power of lifestyle practices like yoga.”
Other biggies like Reliance Capital, Godrej, Ola have come up with creative perks to promote Yoga; like 2,000 odd employees are encouraged to participate, yoga sessions to be held by Charlotta Osterberg, a Hatha yoga instructor, or even by giving free rides and a free yoga session to those picked up in a lucky draw.
